Acoustic Ceilings
An acoustic stretch ceiling uses the Tilly micro-perforated membrane — around 250,000 perforations per square metre, each too fine to see — so sound passes into the cavity above and is absorbed instead of bouncing back into the room. It looks like a normal flat ceiling.

What it is
- The Tilly acoustic membrane: roughly 250,000 micro-perforations per square metre, virtually invisible at any normal viewing distance.
- Absorption is tuned per room with acoustic backing layers and the depth of the cavity behind the membrane.
- Available in the full finish range — and it can be printed or backlit, so an acoustic ceiling can also be an illuminated or decorative one.

Common questions
No — there are around a quarter of a million per square metre precisely so that each one can be microscopic. At normal viewing distance the surface reads as a flat, even ceiling.
